Will Donegal create the bounce for Ireland’s Green Tea Party?

Mark  is entitled to be pleased. But Donegal is only the sparring match. The stakes have now raised to a critical high for the main bout.  If Sinn Fein can’t win big in the general election, they never will.  The Donegal sideshow was in some respects, a gift.

A blatant gerrymander in delaying the by election by 17 months, the appeal of the “burn the bondholders “  populist shout, a personable well-gelled young candidate with a good community record, I understand all that. Even in the radically different atmosphere of the 2007 general election Pearse Doherty was breathing down Fine Gael’s  neck on a higher turnout. Was his smash win mainly down to effective community politics in an area largely left behind by the Tiger? Will the residual  appeal of primitive nationalism in the border counties give Sinn Fein a big enough bounce to make some kind of breakthrough on the national stage? Am I alone in my surprise that Fianna Fail didn’t fare even worse? Is the Telegraph’s vox pop typical? These are genuine questions.

  1. I am beginning to get allergic against everything “Green”. This whole political “Green” Thing which came up about thirdy-fourty years ago has to be studied. It seems to be a typical example of how the oligarchic establishment scoops up gras roots movements and turn them to theyr own gain.

      Best to become color blind.
Then we won’t recognize the national flags and will have a better chance of recognizing the idiots amongst us.

If you think you’re green they’ll try to convince you that you leave a dirty little ‘carbon paw mark’ everywhere you go that can only be removed by a global tax system.

      • Well, personaly, I am rather colorless. But I do find it very interesting, how that whole Green movement, from the political partys all the way to Greenpeace, got turned to the globalists advantage. Isnt it remarkabl, how they sneaked in money back stage to make the puppets out front change theyr tune?

With you on that. In my younger years I was an avid supporter of all thing green, now however, I’m not so sure and I am beginning to FULLY comprehend the idea that greed, working through money, really is the root of all evil. It pollutes everything it touches. More More More…

  2. True. Greed is a poison that hinders our developement in various ways. I have never trustet political partys, no matter what color.
I grew up in Germany after the war in a refugee and workers section of our town, filled with refugees from all parts of europe, with former SS guards now unemployed and freed inmates of the nearby concentration camp, and with american GI’s hunting for “Frauleins”. While growing up, I closely listend to what all of them were saying. The result was a quasi genetically manifestet distaste towards all forms of government.

What they do is hijack definitions and words.

If there is any kind of significant group of people who seem to identify with something positive for the majority and detrimental for the predators, they simply adopt the concept and all the associated vocabulary and make it serve their own ends.

See the word ‘Bolshevik’ – it means ‘majority’.
See the word ‘Soviet’ it means ‘council’.
There are thousands of example of this.

If a grass roots movement begins they penetrate it.
Many of the NGOs are run by the elite.
    And the charities.
They fund them anonymously and buy them out or influence their policies, without them even knowing it.

As for Greenpeace and so on they get brought back into line every now and then.
What harm can we do to the Roggenfelder / Rotschild empire while we are all off saving rain forests or rescuing the blue whale?
    Business as usual.

If there is one thing they have it is all the money in the world.

They mis/ abuse every word that has a meaning and twist it into a spin.

As a consequence it becomes impossible to name anything or define your focus.

It is they who are the ‘philanthropists’.
