DOCTOR WHO USED HIV DRUG TO TREAT EBOLA SUCCESSFULLY: EBOLA IS A “DESTRUCTIVE STRAIN OF HIV”

September 29, 2014

From FrontPageAfrica

Dr. Logan’s recovery rate has been impressive as he cautions that his method only works if the patients turn themselves in on time. “When the patients come early, and they are put on this medication, they recover within three to five days. This medication is not specifically for HIV/AIDS, I want this to be clear, but an Anti Retrovirus agent that is used to treat other virus illnesses like hepatitis ‘B’. It is one of those medications that are combined with two or three other medications to treat HIV/AIDS, so it should not really be called an HIV/AIDS drugs,” He says.

Dr. Logan explains that he got the idea to try Lamivudine on Ebola patients when he read in scientific journals that HIV and Ebola replicate inside the body in much the same way. “Ebola is a brainchild of HIV,” he said. “It’s a destructive strain of HIV.”

A report in the Journal of Autoimmunity: Clinical features and pathobiology of Ebolavirus infection describes Ebola as disabling the immune system in much the same way as HIV.

This virus infection first appears to disable the immune system (the very system needed to fight the infection) and subsequently disables the vascular system that leads to blood leakage (hemorrhage), hypotension, drop in blood pressure, followed by shock and death.

Okairos, a GSK subsidiary developing the Ebola vaccine, suggests that its Ebola virus strains are chosen because they cannot be recognized by the immune system.

“We have derived these vectors from strains isolated from non-human primates, which prevents them from being recognised by pre-existing neutralising antibodies in humans,” Okairos states on its webpage.

EBOLA ON THE VERGE OF EXTINCTION IN KENEMA: ONLY ONE NEW CASE

September 27, 2014

For weeks, Kenema was the epicentre of the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone together with Kailahun. But following a government crack down on a lab with links to US bioweapons researchers as well as the Soros and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ebola cases declined dramatically, and today, Kenema registered only one new confirmed case.
