French army and emergency responders to get anti nerve gas drug


The French army and fire fighters have been given atropine amid warnings of a chemical terrorist attack.

First responders in France are also to be issued with the drug. Atropine is the most common drug used to combat nerve agents and is produced by the military.

Atropine is an extremely dangerous drug, which can kill if the dose is too high, prompting Die Welt to ask whether the use of atropine was a good idea.
