GREEK MIGRANT CRISIS ESCALATNG: MIGRANTS PROTEST AT CLOSED MACEDONIAN BORDER

About 1,300 migrants in Idomeni protested today the decision by Macedonian authorities to turn away migrants who are not from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Thousands if not millions of migrants could seek to enter Greece in the coming year alone, and end up being stranded in the country, overwhelming it, as Balkan states close their borders.

Most of the protesters were from Morocco, but some were from Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, Iran, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the Congo. They shouted slogans, such as ”We are not terrorists”.

The Greek government has offered to bring transport back to Athens, where the climate is warmer.
