The head of the Association of German Criminal Police, Andre Schulz, has warned the risk of terror attacks in Germany will increase if Angela Merkel sends military forces to Syria to fight ISIS.
“If Germany and the army become actively involved in Syria, Germany will become more of a focus for attacks,” Schulz told the “Berliner Zeitung” (Saturday edition).
“That just has to be recognized. The danger is going to increase in any case,” said Schulz. “I don’t think that a misguided foreign policy can be countered by a war.”
His warning comes after Angela Merkel yesterday committed German military forces to a war against ISIS in Syria without a parliamentary vote even as police warn there could be thousands of ISIS terrorists in Germany ready to use violence as a result of her unlawful open doors policy.
