REPORT TO UK PARLIAMENT INQUIRY ON PUBLIC HEALTH

February 29, 2016

The deadline to submit evidence to the UK parliament’s “Public health post-2013 – structures, organisation, funding and delivery inquiry” has now passed. However, I was told that if I would like to send a paper to the Committee in the near future then there may still be time for it to be considered.

http://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/health-committee/inquiries/parliament-2015/public-health-post-2013-inquiry-15-16/

The next meeting of the inquiry is tomorrow, so I raced to get at least the first part of my report sent this evening.

You can read it here.

SWITZERLAND READIES ARMY TO DEFEND BORDERS, EXPECTS THOUSANDS OF MIGRANTS A DAY

February 26, 2016

Switzerland is making plans to deploy five thousands soldiers to its frontiers in the event that thousands of migrants arrive on any one day, according to Blick newspaper.

Soldiers are being sent on special training courses to prepare for border duties, including border guard and observation tasks.

TOP BRAZILIAN SCIENTIST: ZIKA CRISIS IS EXAGGERATED, UNWARRANTED PANIC IS GLOBAL SCANDAL

February 26, 2016

RIO DE JANEIRO – Often drowned out by the dire warnings and fear surrounding Zika, some medical professionals are saying that Brazil and international health officials have prematurely declared a link between the virus and what appears to be a surge in birth defects.

A few even argue that the Brazilian government is being irresponsible, given that a connection hasn’t been scientifically proven between the mosquito-borne virus and the birth defect known as microcephaly, which causes infants to be born with abnormally small heads.

“It’s a global scandal. Brazil has created a worldwide panic,” said Alexandre Dias Porto Chiavegatto Filho, a professor of epidemiology at the University of Sao Paulo, one of the most-respected universities in Latin America. “I’m not saying that Zika is not causing microcephaly, but I am saying that the ministry has yet to present any scientifically credible evidence to support that conclusion.”

Chiavegatto and others argue there are still too many unanswered questions to blame Zika. Why are the vast majority of the cases of microcephaly being reported in Brazil? Why haven’t they also shown up in proportional numbers in other countries hit hard by Zika, such as Colombia? (The answer, some say, is that Brazil was hit by Zika first, and microcephaly cases might be expected to crest elsewhere in the months ahead.)

And how can conclusions be drawn from government statistics that are flawed and possibly vastly underreported in the past, before Brazilian officials required doctors to report microcephaly cases?

In an article published Wednesday by the Annals of Internal Medicine, 14 Brazilian and American researchers said the link between Zika and microcephaly “remains presumptive.” The strongest evidence is circumstantial, they said, and there are challenges in confirming the connection.

But Brazilian Health Minister Marcelo Castro recently said he was “absolutely sure” of a causal link between Zika and microcephaly. He and other scientific experts around the world have pointed to studies that detected the presence of Zika in the brains of dead fetuses and in the placentas of babies diagnosed with microcephaly in the womb.

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/microcephaly-705771-zika-brazil.html

Note: Castro is basing his argument on a logical fallacy and not on scientific evidence. In logic, correlation does not imply causality.

If rain, for example, falls whenever I cross the main square in Larisa to get to the court, it does not mean I cause the rain to fall by walking across the main square. The rain was caused by many other factors that have nothing to do with me such as evaporation, transpiration, weather fronts and water cycles etc.

If Zika virus is found in the brains of dead fetuses diagnosed with microcephaly in the womb, it does not mean the Zika virus caused the microcephaly.

Microcephaly has been a long term problem, and is caused by other factors such malnutrition and vaccines according to the Mattos study.

EUROPE UNIFIES TO CONFRONT TSIPRAS OVER MIGRANT INFLUX

February 26, 2016

Every European country has fallen behind Austria in its push to stem the influx of migrants into northern Europe by closing the Balkan route.

The nine West Balkans states, the Visegrad four, France, Germany (minus Angela Merkel and a handful of her lapdogs), Norway, Sweden, The Netherlands and other countries have displayed a welcome unity in confronting Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras. They have shown that European countries are able to act effectively and agree together on important issues.

What has been the response of the increasingly isolated Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to  a very reasonable request to use the Greek navy and employ policies to stem the influx of migrants flooding into Europe?

Tsipras has replied with threats, blackmail, insult, slander, thereby, ensuring his total isolation.

In a fit of petulance, he has now stamped hi foot and refused a visit by Austria’s Interior Minister Johanna Mikl Leitner, perhaps the last politician with real power willing to talk to him. Mikl Leitner is only Tsipras’ most vocal critic. Behind her stands every single Interior Minister in Europe.

http://www.ekathimerini.com/206377/article/ekathimerini/news/greece-temporarily-suspends-ferries-transporting-migrants-from-the-islands

Although given plenty of warning that the Balkan border was going to close and told many times he needed to reverse his open borders policy, Tsipras and the NGOs linked to figures like George Soros have made no preparation for sheltering and feeding the thousands of migrants now pouring into Greece.

On the contrary, Tsipras and his ministers have tried to use the chaos and humanitarian crisis that has resulted from his lack of preparation as a bargaining chip.

Tsipras’ cynical maneuvre has backfired. Greeks wake up this morning to find that their country is being led by a cross between a mafia boss, a lunatic and an idiot.

On top of Tsipras’s disastrous economic and financial impact (capital controls, crushing taxes), they now find themselves having to deal with thousands of desperate migrants.

According to the media, 20,000 migrants have been stranded in just a few days.

Farmers tried to storm the agricultural ministry in Thessaloniki with tractors yesterday to prevent crushing taxes which would bankrupt most of them.

http://www.protothema.gr/greece/article/556561/epanemfanistikan-oi-skines-sto-pedion-tou-areos/

Now, these same desperate Greeks trying to stave off total ruin, have to find ways of helping thousands of desperate Muslim migrants, some armed with knives, and without any help from the government.

Thousands of migrants pouring into Athens on ferries, have been forced to set up camps and sleep on open squares with no police presence.

To reduce the chaos on the mainland, Tsipra has stopped ferries from the Aegean islands. But the result is to transfer the crisis and chaos from the mainland to the islands of Lesbos, Chios and Samos. There are, in the meantime, so many migrants that the local people fear they will soon be forced to immigrate.

To stop the collapse of the islands, some ferries are still being allowed to transport migrants to Piraeus but only half as many.

Migrants are to be offered sheltered in three ferries to be anchored in the harbours of
Lesbos, Chios und Samos.

Those migrants who do make it to mainland Greece find no infrastructure for them. The NGOs have also failed to provide permanent camps for them.

Desperate migrants are setting off on foot along the motorways to get to the Macedonia border. The  camp at the main border crossing is also overflowing. Four thousand people are now in the camp and surrounding fields. Macedonia has only let through 260 people in the past 24 hours.

Police have stopped buses trying to reach Idomeni, forcing people to spend the night in fields in Tempe close to Larisa.

Meanwhile, the Greek navy lies idle.

As Greece sinks into chaos, the threat of being ejected from the Eurozone grows. But there are no plans either for the reintroduction of the Drachma as sovereign money.

TIME TO CONFRONT THE CRIMINAL LEADERSHIP OF TSIPRAS

February 25, 2016

The crimes of Greece’s bankster Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and his predecessors are many. And many of them, from the fractional reserve bank debt scam to the engineered migrant crisis, have been documented on this blog.

Largely as a result of those crimes, Greece is on the verge of collapse, of mass impoverishment, of ejection from the Schengen and Eurozone,  and it is the time to confront Tsipras.

In a questionable move, Supreme Court prosecutor Efterpi Koutzamani  has ordered the farmer’s motorway blockades to be cleared on the grounds they violate the law.

http://www.ekathimerini.com/206309/article/ekathimerini/news/prosecutor-orders-farmers-blockades-cleared-as-bulgarian-truckers-warn-of-action

But that same prosecutor drags her feet when it comes to prosecuting the  flagrant crimes of Tsipras and his bankster cronies in government.  Tsipras is given impunity to commit the same fractional reserve banking fraud, which has led to bankers and politicians in Iceland to be jailed. He is allowed to bankrupt farmers, lawyers, doctors, virtually everyone in the country, through a fraud involving the private creation of money.

Koutzamani said that preventing the free movement of goods and people is an offense punishable by law, and police should remove the farmers’ blockades.

Well, trying to murder a journalist is also against the law. So why is there no swift action from State prosecutor Koutzami in my case? Why do I have to wait ten months for a Larisa state prosecutor to prepare to issue an opinon, and only to find out there has been a vast cover up involving handwritten notes to direct the investigation to the wrong place, person and money transfers?

I allege there is enough proof that Tsipras was involved in the de facto murder attempt against me in April on account of my journalism activities to warrant an investigation into him.

I was able to prove that Tsipras, along with his associate Billionaire George Soros, has direct, personal knowledge of my blog.

Section 4 Eng

Teil 4 Beweismittel Gr

In my report to the Larisa state prosecutors in January, I alleged that that proof made him and Soros the prime suspects in the murder attempt against me in April 2015. Tsipras has a motive and the means in the form of networks in Greece, which he can improperly influence.

The vast cover up of that murder attempt by Larisa police and justice officials and lawyers treinforces the notion that Tsipras or some very high level political figures were involved.

Also, Tsipras enjoys very good relations with the Archbishop of Athens, who is technically a government employee drawing a government salary as do most Orthodox clergy.

I cordially invite European governments to support my efforts for justice in Greece.

With political pressure, a thorough investigation could be launched and enough evidence collected to and convict and prosecute Tsipras. And Soros too.

Even without a court conviction, Tsipras can be convicted in the courts of public opinion.

Greek police and state prosecutors should stop using the law to protect a criminal leader and start legal action to clap him in jail following the model of Iceland.

EU SHOULD LIASE WITH LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS LIKE LARISA LABOUR CENTRE TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY AID TO MIGRANTS STRANDED BY TSIPRAS

February 25, 2016

*MIGRANTS SEEKING TO CROSS INTO BALKANS MARCH ALONG MAIN MOTORWAY CLOSE TO LARISA, REFUSE TO ACCEPT BORDERS ARE CLOSING

*THOUSANDS STRANDED ALONG MOTOWAY WITHOUT SHELTER OR FOOD CLOSE TO LARISA AND VOLOS

*LARISA LABOUR CENTRE STARTS TO COLLECT FOOD DONATIONS FOR MIGRANTS STRANDED AT ROADBLOCK AT TEMPI

*LARISA DOCTORS AND NURSES VOLUNTEER SERVICES, MEDICINE

*MAYOR CLOSE TO VOLOS COMPLAINS HE WAS GIVEN NO WARNING AS 550 MIGRANTS STRANED IN CAR PARK NEED SHELTER AND FOOD

*NO SIGN OF HELP FROM THE BISHOP OF VOLOS

*LOCAL PARTNERS IN GREECE BEST FOR EU COUNTRIES WANTING TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY HELP TO MIGRANTS

*AUSTRIA CAN SHOW FRIENDSHIP TO GREEK PEOPLE BY HELPING ORGANIZATIONS ON THE GROUND LIKE THE LARISA LABOUR CENTRE, HOSPITAL AND PAME

*TSIPRAS RECALLS GREEK AMBASSADOR TO AUSTRIA, ATTEMPTS TO BLACKMAIL AUSTRIA INTO ACCEPTING TSIPRAS’ DANGEROUS OPEN DOORS POLICIES

*ALBANIA BECOMES NEW MIGRANT ROUTE NORTH

The Labour Centre in Greece has started to receive food donations for  migrants trapped at roadblocks on the motorway at Tempi as the Balkan countries close their borders and thousands of migrants find themselves stranded in Greece.

In the absence of any plan from Alexis Tsipras and his government to help them, local people and authorities have started to organize a food drive for migrants. And these organizations might be the best partners for European countries seeking to avoid a humanitarian crisis as I found out from a visit to the Labour Centre today.

Doctors and nurses from Larisa hospital have gone to Tempi to distribute medicines.

The head of the Labour Centre who is in charge of the food drive told me he did not know many migrants were camping at the roadblock Tempi, but it was lots of people.

Buses were continuously arriving to take some to Idomeni or Athens but other buses and migrants were arriving, he said.

Migrants seeking to cross into the Balkans have been setting off in chaotic marches along the country’s main motorway, the E75, which runs close to Larisa, unaware or unable to believe the border at Idomeni has now been more or less closed.

http://greece.greekreporter.com/2016/02/25/stranded-migrants-determined-to-reach-greece-fyrom-border-by-any-means/

Farmers have established a roadblock at Tempi to protest plans by Alexis Tsipras to impose crushing new taxes and social security hikes.

At Almyros close to Volos, five hundred people have been stranded.

Mayor Dimitris Almyrou Eseridis expressed anger that he had not been told by anyone to make the  preparations to feed and shelter hundreds of migrants.

http://www.altsantiri.gr/ellada/volos-egklovismeni-toulachiston-500-prosfiges-sto-sea-almirou/

In a separate development, seamen have said they will include ships carrying  migrants from the Greek islands to the mainland in their next wave of strikes.

http://www.tribune.gr/greece/news/article/218521/h-pno-tha-desi-ta-karavia-choris-exeresi-gia-tous-prosfiges.html

After visiting the Larisa Labour Centre this morning, I really think EU countries should consider helping local authorities and organizations like this to provide tents and food for migrants, who are stranded in Greece without any help from the Tsipras government.

Instead of liaising with the truly criminal government of Tsipras to provide help for stranded migrants, they can liaise with local authorities and organizations and parties like PAME, especially in locations along the main transit or motorway routes and on the Aegean islands, to set up emergency care facilities until NATO or the Greek navy close the country’s borders.

It would be a welcome gesture from governments like Austria if they were to contact the local labour centres and hospitals in places like Larisaand offer supplies to help them provide emergency care to migrants who have been stranded in the region.

Instead of lots of bureaucracy, officials from Austria, for example,  could pick up the phone, ring Labour centres and hospitals in hotspots on the mainland and islands, ask them what they need, and, then, send embassy or other staff  to ground zero to help with purchase and delivery of necessary food and other items.

Help from Austria for local organizations would defuse the tension between the countries which Tsipras is escalating by withdrawing the ambassador to Austria.  Good riddance. The more isolated Tsipras’ government is internationally, the better!

Meanwhile, as the migrant route changes, Europe needs plans to better seal off Albania.

Afghan migrants are reportedly paying thousands of euros to be taken by car from Greece through Albania to northern Europe as new routes open up.

NORWAY MAKES EMERGENCY PREPARATIONS FOR THE COLLAPSE OF SWEDEN DUE TO MIGRANT WAVE

February 25, 2016

*NORWAY FEARS SWEDEN WILL COLLAPSE DUE TO UNPRECEDENTED MIGRANT INFLUX

*PREPARES TO CLOSE BORDERS USING EMERGENCY LAW

*SUSPEND GENEVA CONVENTION

*PRIME MINISTER SAYS “WE ARE PREARING FOR THE WORST”

*DENMARK ALSO CONSIDERING EMERGENCY LAWS TO CLOSE BORDERS

From Zerohedge:

Sweden plans to deport some 80,000 of the refugees this year but according to Norwegian PM Erna Solberg, it may be too little too late to keep the country from collapsing. So concerned is Solberg that she’s now crafted an emergency law that will allow Norway to refuse asylum seekers at the border in the event “it all breaks down” in Sweden.

“It is a force majeure proposals which we will have in the event that it all breaks down, the power just comes, and all end in Norway because we are at the top and most of Europe. Norway is the end point, is not it,” Solberg said, in an interview with Berlingske whose Tinne Knudsen adds that “the legislation will soon be presented to the Parliament and is expected to meet broad support.”
