PRINCE CHARLES PLAYS HAMLET

Prince Charles played Hamlet to mark the 400th anniversay of Shakespeare’s death.
He made a surprise appearance at a theatre performance in Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford upon Avon, at the culmination of a day of creative events and parades.

Charles walked onto the stage to deliver the famous opening line of Hamlet’s soliloquy “To be or not to be. That is the question.”

His delivery was pretty dry but not bad at all.

Meanwhile in London, US President Barack Obama visited the modern replica of Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre to watch scenes from “Hamlet”.
