More problems with the conduct of Austria’s presidential election have emerged after three rejected ballots were destroyed in a town in Upper Austria in order to make the number of registered voters tally with the number of votes cast.
In addition, a woman in Ahorn was not allowed to vote after she was erroneously registered as having cast a postal vote.
Multitudes of reports about voter fraud have emerged concerning the Austrian presidential election, which the official in charge of the elections, Robert Stein, has been unable to satisfactorily explain, including the huge rise in postal votes applied for between the first and second round of the election as well as the dramatic increase in rejected ballots in the second round.
Even the controlled mainstream media has started to ask whether Stein’s dual role as top election official and as Social Democrat politician is compatible with genuine independence.
The new conservative party Interior Minister Wolfgang Sobotka, appointed by Lower Austrian Governor Erwin Proell, just before the election has come under criticism for his role in vast election fraud.
However, it is not clear if the Freedom Party leadership will contest the vote, making it vital for local organizations to contest the vote, especially the postal votes and rejected ballots, and force an election replay.
The window of opportunity to contest the vote lasts only one week from tomorrow.
