Mainstream Austrian media, including Der Standard and Die Presse, have been caught changing the time of their live ticker coverage of the presidential elections on Sunday in an apparent bid to cover the tracks of manipulation.
Screenshots taken today show that Der Standard and Die Presse live tickers now claim that the results of the first projections were announced just after 6 07 pm or 18 00 hours.
A screenshot of Die Presse claiming the first projection was announced at 18 10.
A screenshot of Die Presse saying the polls had closed a few minutes ago with the time 6 03 pm or 18 03 pm Vienna time.
However, the time that Germany Der Focus live ticker announced the first projections is 5 09 pm as a screenshot shows.
Austria and Germany are in the same time zone. If Focus reports the first projection at 5 09 pm (17 09 pm), then Der Standard and Die Presse should also have reported them at that time, and not at 6 09 pm (18 09).
US media confirm the first projections occurred just after 5 pm Vienna time not after 6 pm.
“The polls closed at 5 pm Vienna time (11 am EST) on Sunday. Projections based on early returns showed Hofer’s opponent — the left-wing independent candidate Alexander Van der Bellen — with a 7-point lead (53.6 percent to 46.4 percent),” writes Vox.
The screenshots prove that Der Standard and Die Presse have both retroactively changed their lives tickers to put the time when the the first projections were announced one hour forward in order to mask irregularities that occurred just after the real first projections were announced, giving Hofer the lead.
The Euronews clip of the first projection from the Hofburg showing Norbert Hofer was ahead by 53.6% to 46% was taken at at 5 01 pm Vienna time.
But then minutes later Van der Bellen was declared the winner as I posted on my blog shortly after 5 pm Austrian time or 6 pm Greek time.
It seems as if hackers or the Minister of Interior Wolfgang Sobotka in house just switched out the names of the candidates because the figures remain the same only now Van der Bellen is assigned the 53.6% and Hofer the 46.4%.
I am in Greece which is one hour ahead of Austria and my computer and blog were hacked at 6 pm local time or 5 pm Austrian time.
A screenshot showing the time in Vienna and the time on my computer proves a one hour difference.
A screenshot of my computer being hacked just at 4 37 pm Austrian time or 5 37 pm Greek time as I tried to put up a link to the live stream of Die Presse and the first projections.
