Donald Trump is reportedly refusing to send its spokespeople onto CNN shows after Trump called the broadcaster fake news.
CNN Greece recently interviewed the Bishop Ignatios of Volos on his views on open borders.
Bishop of Volos and his underlinging Theodekti have spearheaded an attack against free speech and media in April 2015, when I was reporting factual information about the Ebola outbreak.
The fact that the Bishop is a fake and a hyporcite, does not mean that he feels falsity or guilt. Like the CNN journalists, he can engage in “double think” and “blackwhite”, as George Orwell would have called it, with a straight face.
Now, CNN and the controlled media have now taken their war against truth to a new level by emboldening violent demonstrations, including an attack on a building on Berkeley campus to prevent a talk on free speech.
Milo Yiannopoulos, a Breitbart News editor, was preparing to give a talk when the building was stormed by protesters, and he was evacuated.
“The university insists that it made elaborate preparations for protests. It canceled the speech only after what it called an “unprecedented” invasion of the campus by “more than 100 armed individuals clad all in black” who engaged in violent, destructive behavior. They hurled metal barricades, threw Molotov cocktails and smashed windows at the student union,” reports the LA Times in scenes resembling Nazi Brown Shirts storming rallies.
I am not a fan of Yiannopoulos and his endless monologues againt a generalized “left”, which don’t exactly help heal divisions. But under the first amendment, he also has a right to tell his opinions to anyone who wants to hear them.
Trump aide Kellyanne Conway blamed the media for implicitly supporting the violence:
“What’s going on out there is what’s going on all across the country,” Conway, a key aide to President Trump, said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends” Thursday.
“You have protesters who feel very emboldened,” added Conway, who served as Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign manager. “They’ve got media cameras following them, they give interviews.”
Trump reacted by threatening to pull federal funding from Berkely if it did not do more to guarantee free speech.
“President Donald Trump reacted again to the aftermath of the Berkeley riots in response to a scheduled speech by Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos.
“Professional anarchists, thugs and paid protesters are proving the point of the millions of people who voted to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on Twitter on Friday.
Rioters caused an estimated $100,000 in property damage in Berkeley on Wednesday, and only one person was arrested. Bank windows and ATMs were smashed, a Starbucks was looted, anti-Trump graffiti was painted on store fronts, Molotov cocktails were thrown, and garbage fires were lit in the streets.
On Thursday, Trump responded to the rioting by threatening to cancel federal funding for colleges that failed to protect the right of free speech.”
