There has been a surge in Greek military airplane activity in the past few days at the airforce base in Larisa.
I just snapped one F16 flying low over Larisa. It was part of a squadron.
A couple of nights ago, I saw a at least half dozen plans fighter jets pass by my window with lights flashing, never seen that before.
Larisa is beginning to get a world war three feeling with all these fighter jets flying around.
I hope the Trump team steps in to de escalate the tension with Turkey, first and foremost, by firing the former ambassador to the Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, who is now pulling the strings behind the scenes in Athens, and apparently aiming to escalate the conflict with Turkey by using his influence over the new Justice Minister to make sure that eight Turkish coup plotters were not returned.
An alternative is for Trump to make it clear that he will leave the conflict to the Greeks, and not deploy Nato.
Ekathimerini reports that Turkish jets have violated Greek air space a record 138 times. Certainly, there are very large numbers of Greek fighter planes up in the air, and the situation could become explosive.
