The FT has reported on Alexis Tsipras’ campaign of politicized lynch justice against his political opponents under the guise of investigating an alleged Novartis bribery scandal.
“Analysts say Mr Tsipras is broadening his campaign against the country’s political elite as Greece emerges from eight years of painful reforms and tight supervision by its international creditors, the EU and the International Monetary Fund,” writes Kerin Hope in the FT.
Tsipras’ campaign seems to be running into trouble. He has refused to produce the three witnesses on whom the entire smear campaign depends. Notice that these witnesses have not levelled any accusations against Kyriakos Mitsotakis, although he was a prominent member of the government of Antonis Samaras.
